1. Personnel engaged in general engineering activities shall receive orientation upon employment and, at least once per year, education or training in principles of asepsis, cross-infection control, and safe practices.
2. There shall be a system of reporting physical plant, safety, and maintenance problems to a designated staff member, and documentation of the correction of such problems.
3. A current, written preventive maintenance program shall be implemented. Records of inspections and repairs shall be maintained for at least one year.
4. Written instructions for operating and maintaining equipment shall be systematically retained and followed.
5. There shall be maintenance contract on light and heavy mobile plant including the power genset and fire safety equipment that includes routine maintenance inspections.
6. There shall be a comprehensive, current, written preventive maintenance program for the electrical system that is documented and followed.
7. Effective and safe controls shall be used to minimize and eliminate the presence human and equipment risks. The premises shall be kept in such condition as to prevent the breeding, harborage, or hydrocarbon spillages around.
8. Employees shall be trained in procedures to be followed in an emergency operations plan and instructed in the use basic firefighting equipment and evacuation of the buildings as part of their initial orientation and at least annually thereafter and in accordance with the mother company policies and procedures.
